Our story

Our family.
A world of dinosaurs.

Three cheerful dinosaur friends

It started with Levi’s love of dinos.

We’re the Brannon family—Richard, Marybethany, and our dinosaur-loving son, Levi. His love of dinos is at the heart of Dino Hatchlings.

As a dad, math teacher, and indie game developer, I wanted to turn that excitement into something personal that Levi could truly enjoy. That idea grew into colorful adventures that invite Levi—and other curious minds—to explore, imagine, and create. Dino Hatchlings grew from that love, with our family at its heart.

With the help of my wife, Marybethany, a reading and writing teacher, Dino Hatchlings has taken on a life of its own. Together, we’ve helped it grow into something we’re excited to share with other families.

Our family adventure is growing, too. Our little princess, Eliana, will soon join our dino-loving family, and we can’t wait to welcome her into our family and share these dinosaur adventures with her.

From our family to yours, we hope these books bring you moments of color, curiosity, and time together. There’s always room for another dinosaur fan on this adventure!

The journey

It started with
one wobbling egg.

How Levi’s love of dinosaurs became Dino Hatchlings.

A very big love of dinosaurs

From a young age, Levi was captivated by dinosaurs. By a year and a half, he was already clearly pronouncing names like Ankylosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Parasaurolophus. But beyond the dinosaurs themselves, he loved dinosaur eggs—and cracking them open to discover who was hiding inside.

Meet “Wobble Egg”

That gave me an idea: a simple game just for him, which Levi named “Wobble Egg.” He would tap an egg and watch it wobble back and forth. Crack. Crack. Crack! Then the egg would burst open to reveal a random dinosaur.

Those first dinosaur models I created became the very same dinosaur friends you see in our books today.

A little idea, a growing world

I began planning a toddler-friendly educational app that would bring reading and play together. But we wanted to create the books first. One thing led to another, and that little idea grew into our coloring books, with Seek-n-Find adventures, illustrated stories, and more on the way.

Marybethany being a stay-at-home mom has been a blessing to our family in so many ways. Her time, creativity, and experience as a reading and writing teacher have helped the Dino Hatchlings world grow faster than I could have managed alone.

The adventure continues

I still plan to build and release the interactive reading and coloring app little by little. And if Wobble Egg sounds like fun, I hope to share that little piece of our story with your family along the way.

Thank you for coming along on this journey with our family. We’re truly grateful for all of your support.
